MEDICAL MILE DETOUR
Location: Begin at the Medical Mile arch near the First Security Amphitheater in Little Rock's Riverfront Park.
GPS: 34.748072, -92.265299
Length: Explore the paths around the Junction Bridge, then head west on the Medical Mile section of the Arkansas River Trail until you reach the barricade closing the trail for construction on the Broadway Bridge. Turn around and backtrack to the Bill Clark Wetlands and Clinton Presidential Center for a 2.07-mile loop.
Main attractions: Scenic views of the river, happy families, playgrounds, fountains, bridges, flowers and artwork are all in this gem of a park.
Hazards: High pedestrian area; watch for bikes and running kiddies.
Dog, bike, tyke friendly? A great section for all three, especially the small fry.
