A man drowned in Carroll County on Beaver Lake Sunday.
Keith Stephens, spokesman for the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission has identified the man who drowned Sunday in Beaver Lake as Russell Charles Johnston, 38, of Seligman, Mo.
Divers recovered a body in 30-feet of water by 8 a.m. Sunday after the man drowned while fishing at 3 a.m. that morning, said Alan Bland, park ranger with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The body was recovered between Dam Site Park and the Carroll/Boone water intake structure.
The drowning was the second at Beaver Lake this year.
