Woman accused of knife assault

A dispute between two women at a Little Rock liquor store Saturday led to a knife attack, police reported.

According to Little Rock police, Glynis Lawson, 51, chased 44-year-old Temeka Bolton after fighting with her at Pic-Pac Liquor, 4407 W. 12th St. Police said Lawson had a knife, and Bolton suffered minor cuts to her neck.

Police arrested Lawson near West 13th and Peyton streets about 5:15 p.m. According to a police report, she was found with a kitchen knife and a glass pipe.

Lawson was booked into Pulaski County jail on charges of aggravated assault and possession of drug paraphernalia.

She remained on the jail's roster late Sunday. She was held in lieu of $6,000 bond.

GPS puts parolee at burglary scene

Jacksonville authorities used a parolee's GPS ankle monitor to prove he was at the scene of a burglary Saturday, according to a police report.

Tyrone Anthony Bryant, 38, of Sherwood was arrested for the burglary of the home at 1515 S. Bailey St. in Jacksonville.

According to Jacksonville police, the GPS monitoring system logged that Bryant was at that location for about 20 minutes Saturday morning.

Police also used the GPS system to track Bryant to 1122 S. Bailey St. later that day. There, Bryant is said to have told police he had been at the house to sell narcotics.

According to the report, Bryant said he knocked on a bedroom window and the door, which he said opened.

Bryant was booked into Pulaski County jail on charges of residential burglary and theft of property. He remained on the jail's roster late Sunday with a parole hold placed on his custody.
