TAC Air has plans to break ground on a new terminal at the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport as part of an $11 million expansion project, the company announced Monday.

The new executive terminal will include a conference room, pilot lounge, flight-planning area, passenger waiting, theater room, outdoor patio and pilot rest areas, TAC Air spokesman David Edwards said in a news release.

The new facility will be located next to the north terminal at the airport, which will be demolished after construction is completed to make room for additional hangar space, the company said.

The company will model the new terminal after its facility at the Lexington, Ky., airport, Edwards said.

TAC Air came to the Little Rock airport in August 2014 when it purchased fixed-base operator Supermarine's assets. The company acquired Central Flying Service at the airport Feb. 1.

The construction project is part of TAC Air's commitment under lease terms with the airport, which includes $11 million in redevelopment and expansion projects, Edwards said.
