BENTONVILLE -- A Bentonville man was sentenced to 20 years in prison Monday after he admitted possessing child pornography.

Wesi Robinson, 36, pleaded guilty to 10 counts of distributing, possession or viewing matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child, a Class C felony. The plea was part of an agreement attorney George McManus reached with Stuart Cearley, chief deputy prosecutor.

Robinson was arrested Dec. 19, 2013.

He told authorities he had been addicted to pornography since he was 13 years old. The addiction progressed to child erotica and eventually to child pornography, according to a probable cause affidavit.

Robinson said he learned a search term while serving on jury duty, and used it to search the Internet for females younger than 18, according court documents.

Arkansas attorney general's office agents seized two computers and other electronic items from Robinson's home, according to court documents.

Circuit Judge Robin Green accepted the plea agreement and Robinson's guilty pleas.

Robinson was sentenced to 20 years in the Arkansas Department of Correction. He must abide by a suspended sentence agreement for five years after his release from prison. He'll be required to register as a sex offender. He must pay $1,670 in court costs.
