LR man gets 40 years for child porn

A Little Rock man was sentenced Thursday to 40 years in prison on 10 counts of possessing child pornography, Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge announced in a news release.

Christopher Boyd, 54, pleaded guilty to the charges and was sentenced by Pulaski County Circuit Judge Leon Johnson, the release states.

Agents with the attorney general's cyber crimes unit and Little Rock Police Department arrested Boyd in April 2014 after finding evidence that he had downloaded and viewed child pornography on his personal computer, Rutledge said.

Boyd has previous convictions for possession of child pornography and failing to register as a sex offender in California, the release states.
