State highway officials will hold a public meeting next week to discuss plans to widen U.S. 412 in Lawrence and Greene counties, including a southern bypass of the Light community.
The widening is set to occur between U.S. 67 and Arkansas 141 and will be part of the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department’s Connecting Arkansas Program.
The meeting to discuss the plans is set for 4-7 p.m. Tuesday in the fellowship hall of Light Baptist Church, 17125 U.S. 412 in Light. Light is about 12 miles east of Walnut Ridge and about 15 miles west of Paragould.
