Parkfest outing is Saturday in NLR

The Church at Burns Park in North Little Rock will have free hamburgers, live music, games and prizes at its second Parkfest 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the church, 295 W. Military Drive.

The family outing, which is free and open to the public, will include a bounce house for children, a K-9 unit demonstration by the North Little Rock Police Department and a giveaways and drawings for prizes every half-hour. Local businesses and church members donate items for the event.

City officials and others are scheduled to be present to share community information.

This is the second year for the event. Last year's initial Parkfest drew 150 attendees, according to a church news release.

The Church at Burns Park is part of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, a worldwide missionary church founded in 1897.
