Two teens jailed in LR burglary get $15,000 bails

A pair of 16-year-olds accused of breaking into a Little Rock house and charged as adults are now each being held in lieu of $15,000 bond.

Jail records show James Hanton and Siddik Haidara, both of Little Rock, were each given the same bail and ordered to wear an ankle monitor if they are released.

The pair are suspected of breaking into a home in the 5500 block of C Street on Wednesday afternoon. According to a Little Rock Police Department report, the resident returned home and found the two burglars inside and gave chase as they fled with stolen guns, electronics, cash and other valuables. A police K9 apprehended one of the teens in a nearby alley and the second was tracked to an address on North Fillmore Street, police said.

Hanton and Haidara remained in the Pulaski County jail late Thursday morning on charges of burglary, theft of property, fleeing and carrying a prohibited weapon.
