WASHINGTON COUNTY

Farmington United Methodist Church, 355 Southwinds Road, presents its 10th annual Back-to-School Bonanza from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the church. Shoes, socks, backpacks with supplies, underwear, haircuts, dental and vision screenings and kindergarten physical examinations will be available to any child entering kindergarten through 12th grade, with students in all school districts welcome.

Bella Vista Assembly of God, 1771 Forest Hills Blvd., partners with Samaritan’s Feet to help families in Bella Vista and southwest Missouri get children back to school this fall. From 9 a.m. to noon today at the church, each child participating receives a pair of shoes, socks, basic school supplies and gift bag. Haircuts are available also.

Highland Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Bella Vista, 1500 Forest Hills Blvd., plans a special service to honor Barbara Jones, regional executive minister, at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. A fellowship meal follows the service. Jones retired Friday after 20 years of service. She was instrumental in starting this congregation.

The Neighborhood Church in Bentonville, 2003 SW. Regional Airport Road, presents the youth of the church speaking in a luncheon about their recent trip to Detroit and the Youth Gathering of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The Shareholder’s Luncheon is planned following the 10:40 a.m. worship service Aug. 16. Cost is $25 per person or $40 for two.

First United Methodist Church in Bella Vista, 20 Boyce Drive, plans its annual rummage sale for 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. today.

First Baptist Church in Bentonville, 200 S. Main St., and its women’s ministry, will give away clothing from 7 a.m. to noon Aug. 8 in the Family Life Center. New and gently worn clothing and shoes for the entire family are available at no cost.

Bella Vista Christian Church, 103 Riordan Road, partners with the Samaritan House for a back-to-school event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the Gravette Church of Christ, 202 Irving St. Southwest.

The Side by Side ladies group meets for lunch at Papa Mike’s and a tour of the Bella Vista museum at 11 a.m. Thursday.

The Little Sprouts Preschool now offers enrollment for children ages 3 to 5. The school year begins Aug. 17.

The United Lutheran Church of Bella Vista (ELCA), 100 Cooper Road, offers a blood pressure clinic before and after the worship service, 8:45 to 9:15 a.m. and 10:30 to 11 a.m., Sunday.

The church collects school supplies during August for children in the Gravette schools. Items needed include notebooks, pencils, erasers, crayons, glue and pens.

A representative of the Smith Family Chiropractic Clinic in Bentonville speaks on Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and brain decline from 10:30 a.m. to noon Aug. 13.

The church screens “The Lorax,” the final movie in the summer series, at 8 p.m. Aug. 14. Lawnchairs encouraged.

The church will bless the backpacks of students during the 9:30 a.m. service Aug. 16.

Stonecroft Ministries work to share the Gospel with women worldwide, through locally planned outreach programs, small group Bible study, prayer walks and Stonecroft speakers sharing their stories of transformation.

Stonecroft has several groups in Northwest Arkansas:
