Robbed at gunpoint in driveway, police told

A man pulled up to his Little Rock home Thursday and was robbed at gunpoint before he got out of his car, police reported.

Yosi Shamay, 22, said he'd driven home from a gas station when a man approached his vehicle at 201 Dryad Lane shortly before 1 a.m., according to a police report. The man asked for a lighter and walked away. He returned a moment later wielding a handgun.

The man took cash, keys, a jacket, a cellphone and a backpack before he fled in a brown sport utility vehicle, the report states.

No injuries were reported.

A 16-year-old boy whom police did not identify was in the car with Shamay during the holdup.

The robber is described as black, 5-foot-9 in height and weighing 180 pounds. He wore a red bandanna and white shirt.

Robber grabs cash at video game store

Little Rock police were investigating after a video game store was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday.

Officers responded about 10:32 p.m. to Game X Change in the Market Place Shopping Center at 11121 N. Rodney Parham Road. Employees said a man had entered the business, pointed a gun at a customer and demanded money from the registers, according to a police report. The robber, who wore a red bandanna on his face, took an unknown amount of cash and fled south.

No injuries were reported.

Officers searched the area but made no arrests.

The robber is described as black, 5-foot-5, 120 pounds and between the ages of 17 and 22. He wore dark bluejeans, a white T-shirt and a black hoodie.

Surveillance cameras recorded the holdup, police said.

NLR man arrested in break-in, theft

Police arrested a North Little Rock man Thursday after they said he stole a pressure washer from a storage building on Broadway the day before.

Martin Jacobs, 53, was arrested and charged with breaking or entering and criminal trespass after police said he broke into the storage building behind Dodge's Fried Chicken, 2910 Broadway, by pulling away the siding and taking the pressure washer, according to an arrest report.

Jacobs was booked into the Pulaski County jail. He was not on the jail's roster Friday night.
