NLR man stabbed by naked roommate

A naked man stabbed his roommate multiple times Tuesday in their home in North Little Rock, the Pulaski County sheriff's office reported.

Shortly before noon, deputies were called to 6803 Norman Road on a report of a stabbing. Samuel Wren, 34, told deputies that he had been looking for his keys when he saw his roommate, Ben Brown Jr., 34, standing outside the house naked. Wren asked where his keys were and then told Brown to put clothes on. Brown, still naked, followed Wren into Wren's room. Wren again asked Brown to put clothes on and then had to force the door shut and put something behind it to keep Brown out, the report said.

After pounding on the door, Brown got into the room and stabbed Wren several times with a knife, according to the report. Wren and another person were able to wrest the knife away and sat on Brown until deputies arrived.

Wren was transported to UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock with multiple stab wounds in his abdomen and back, as well as cuts on his left knee and face, the report said.

Brown was arrested and transported to the Pulaski County jail on charges of first-degree battery, resisting arrest and two counts of aggravated assault. He was not listed on the jail's roster Tuesday night.
