Up is down

Less crunchy. Out of context. Edited video. I want a Lamborghini.

There have been a lot of shocking things said in this Planned Parenthood melee over the last few weeks. But one of the most outrageous things was uttered by the minority leader of the United States Senate this week, and reported on the front page of your statewide paper Tuesday.

During the debate about whether to cut federal funding to Planned Parenthood, one Harry Reid, D-Nevada, said this: "It's our obligation to protect our wives, our sisters, our daughters, our granddaughters" from the Republicans' "absurd policies." He didn't mention whether the youngest of our sisters, our daughters or our granddaughters needed to be protected from Planned Parenthood, who seem to have few misgivings about killing little girls in the womb and negotiating prices for their body parts.

But here is where is gets shocking. Harry Reid also thundered, "The Republican Party has lost its moral compass."

Lost its moral compass. In this debate. The Republicans.

Up is down. Down is sideways.

And Harry Reid is Harry Reid. That is, one of the most ludicrous--and shameless--members of the government since memory runneth not to the contrary.
