North Little Rock police on Friday identified a woman involved in a Thursday evening shooting.

Cierra Polizzi, 24, was shot by officers after she turned a handgun she’d been holding to her chest toward officers, North Little Rock Police Department Sgt. Brian Dedrick said.

Four officers fired about nine shots at Polizzi, and she was transported to UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock, where she was taken into surgery, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette previously reported.
