Fairy garden

Garvan Woodland Gardens, 550 Arkridge Road, Hot Springs, will dedicate its recently expanded Fairy Garden at 10 a.m. today. Admission to the gardens is $15, $5 for children 6-12, free for kids 5 and younger. Light refreshments will be served in the adjoining Garvan Pavilion.

The event will also honor the team of volunteers who spent 21 months designing the Fairy Garden out of found objects and plants on the gardens' 210-acre peninsula (plus some items "found" at the neighborhood Wal-Mart). It originated as an adjunct to the gardens' 2014 "Mystic Creatures: Topiary Art Takes Flight" exhibit. The 2015 exhibit will be on display through Aug. 31.

Hours are 9 a.m.-6 p.m. daily. Call (501) 262-9300 or (800) 366-4664.
