Anne and James Breckinridge Speed III, 5206 Sherwood Road, are the parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of James and the late Marilyn Speed of Fort Smith and Anne and the late Dr. Henry Wagner of Baltimore.

Parents of the groom are Carolyn and the late Dr. Jackie Lynn Whiteside of North Little Rock. He is the grandson of Jack Hollis Whiteside of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Darrell and the late Betty Ruth Johnson and the late Martha Lorrell Whiteside, all of Piggott.

The altar held a large arrangement of hydrangeas, gerbera daisies, peony and stock. Music was by organist Jim Maase. Readers were Lindsey Shindler of Tallahassee, Fla., Allyson Gattin of Little Rock and Esther Wills of Fayetteville.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an ivory organza ballgown with a strapless sweetheart bodice and a fitted pleated waist accented with an organza cummerbund. She carried a bouquet of hydrangeas, peonies, magnolia and succulents in white, coral and blush tones.

Collins Speed Pugh of Greensboro, N.C., served as her sister's matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Maria Abreu of Charlottesville, Va.; Rachel Arnold, Chandler Bailey, Sarah Gibson and Sarah Kurrus, all of Little Rock; Laura McLellan of Durham, N.C.; Liza McLellan of Washington; and Meredith Mitchell and Jane Murphy, both of New York. They wore navy strapless gowns of crinkled silk-chiffon and carried brightly colored bouquets of hydrangeas, gerbera daisies and peonies. Flower girl was Frances Pugh of Greensboro, niece of the bride.

Caleb Ross Whiteside of Maumelle was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Phillip Brick Jr. and William Slabaugh, both of Little Rock; Craig Cockrell, Matthew Imhoff and Andrew Tarvin, all of Fayetteville; Stanley Luker of Washington; and Payton Smith of North Little Rock.

A reception at the Clinton Presidential Center followed the ceremony. Guest tables, covered in ivory or gold cloths, held centerpieces of hydrangeas, gerbera daisies and peonies or rye-grass table runners and birch logs topped with arrangements of brightly colored flowers. A large arch made of birch branches and twigs covered the cake table. Music was by The Party Jammers of Memphis.

The bride graduated with distinction and bachelor's degrees in psychology and Spanish from the University of Virginia, where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. She is a public relations account executive with The Peacock Group.

The groom has a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where he was Associated Student Government president and a member of Kappa Sigma. He is an associate with Wright, Lindsey & Jennings LLP.

The couple will make their home in Little Rock after a wedding trip to Greece.
