Wedding vows were exchanged by Samantha J. Fehr and Ryan Spencer Higgins at 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at Fayetteville Town Center. The father of the groom officiated.

Parents of the bride are Diane Fehr and Timothy Fehr, both of Ormond, Fla. Her grandparents are the late Marie and Leonard Sujkowski of East Stroudsberg, Pa.

Judy and the Rev. Ray Higgins, 11418 Jamestown Drive, are the parents of the groom. He is the grandson of Peggy and the late Millard Goff of Fayetteville and the late Doris and Raymond Higgins of El Dorado.

A backdrop for the ceremony was created with garlands of Italian ruscus and sheer tan draped fabric.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a trumpet-style gown of embroidered lace embellished with crystal beading. The bodice had a scalloped neckline and open illusion back. She carried a bouquet of hydrangeas, roses, eucalyptus and dusty miller tied with lace from her mother's wedding gown.

The bride's honor attendants were Sea Shell Marshall-Barley of Seminole, Fla., and Nirvana Bissessar of Coral Springs, Fla. Bridesmaids were Allison Fehr of Du Bois, Ill; Marlesa Dodd-o of Worcester, Mass., and Kaitlin Howell of Tampa, Fla. They wore long chiffon gowns in shades of champagne and blush and carried bouquets of light-peach carnations with dusty miller.

Serving as the groom's honor attendants were his brother, Adam Higgins of Fayetteville, and Phillip Lay of Little Rock. Groomsmen were William Pierce, Vincent Reed and Brandon Showmar, all of Little Rock. Guests were seated by Kyle Smith and Zach Swartz, both of Fayetteville.

A reception, also at Fayetteville Town Center, followed the ceremony. Tables covered in blush-colored linens and rose-gold sequined runners held Mason jars filled with hydrangeas, roses, stock and eucalyptus.

The bride graduated cum laude from the University of Florida with a bachelor's degree in public relations. She has a master's degree in recreation and sport management from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. She is a student affairs program coordinator at the university.

The groom has a bachelor's degree in advertising and public relations from UA and is an account representative at J.B. Hunt.

The couple will make their home in Fayetteville after a wedding trip to Charleston, S.C., Kiawah Island, S.C., and Savannah, Ga.
