Eoff, McNulty in ASGA Match Play final

Austin Eoff of Benton and Wes McNulty of White Hall will meet at 8 a.m. today in the final of the Arkansas State Golf Association State Match Play Championship at Resurrection Course at Mystic Creek in El Dorado.

Eoff leads McNulty by 66 1/2 points in the ASGA player of the year standings.

Eoff, the tournament's sixth seed and the winner of the state stroke play in June at the Country Club of Little Rock, defeated No. 30 seed Kevin Walker of Sherwood 5 and 4 in a morning quarterfinal match Saturday, then beat No. 2 seed Beau Glover of Sherwood in 20 holes in a semifinal later in the afternoon. Glover was the tournament's medalist, having shot a 69 on Thursday.

McNulty, a five-time ASGA player of the year, defeated defending champion Drew Greenwood of Hot Springs in the quarterfinals before downing No. 21 seed Stafford Gray of Sherwood 4 and 3 in the semifinals.

Champions were crowned in the other three divisions Saturday.

Austin Franks of Little Rock defeated Fort Smith's Mark Graham 1-up to win the mid-senior title.

Mark Bradshaw of Camden won 3 and 2 over David Shirey of Camden in the semifinals of the senior division before beating John Davis of Cabot 5 and 3 in the championship. Davis advanced to the final after beating John Tetens of Conway 5 and 3 in a semifinal match.

In the super-senior division, Oscar Taylor of Hot Springs Village won the championship 2 and 1 over Tom Coleman of Hot Springs Village. Taylor defeated Jim Balch of Maumelle 5 and 4 in one semifinal, while Coleman beat John Carter of Camden 3 and 1 to win the other.

Har-Ber wins tri-match

Springdale Har-Ber beat Rogers Heritage and Van Buren on Friday at Blossom Way in Rogers.

Har-Ber shot 172, Van Buren 174 and Heritage 185. Kade Keith was low man for Har-Ber with 38.

Keith, Heritage’s Jacob Winkel and Van Buren’s Payton Wahman all tied for medalist honors.

Har-Ber shot 161 to win the girls’ action. Jo Anna Keck fired a 42 to win medalist honors. Chloe Kordsmeier was Heritage’s low scorer with a 54.
