Traffic shift, overnight lane closures set in LR

Sign and barrier-wall installation on Interstate 430 in Little Rock will shift traffic and require overnight lane closures, state Highway and Transportation Department officials said.

Traffic will be shifted beginning 8 p.m. Tuesday toward the outside shoulder between the Arkansas River Bridge and Cantrell Road. The shift will remain for about five weeks while crews construct an overhead sign and median barrier wall on I-430, officials said.

The work will also require alternately closing inside and outside lanes of I-430, northbound and southbound, in the area between mile markers 10 and 9. The lane closures will occur 8 p.m. to 6 a.m each night Monday evening through Friday morning.
