Fight at parking lot ends in LR stabbing

Little Rock police were investigating Sunday after a man was stabbed with a pocketknife at a convenience store parking lot, according to a police report.

Jordan Brader, 32, suffered injuries that weren't life-threatening in the attack.

An unidentified employee at Exxon, 10724 W. Markham St., had just finished his 2to 6 a.m. shift and was eating at a nearby Waffle House when he was told two men were fighting at the Exxon. According to the report, he ran back and attempted to break up the argument.

The Exxon employee told police that one man, later identified as Brader, was covered in blood.

The other man left on foot. Brader was taken to Baptist Health Medical Center.

Both men live at Motel 6, 10524 W. Markham St., and had been fighting for the past week, a witness told police. Police were told the suspect goes by "D.J."

Police went to Motel 6 but did not locate anyone named D.J. No arrests had been made late Sunday.

Dazed man arrested on I-40, police say

Deputies arrested a man walking on Interstate 40 on Saturday night who was suspected of being high on PCP, according to an arrest report.

Desmound Byron Sanders, 21, of Little Rock was found about 10:45 p.m. walking westbound on I-40 between the exits for Maumelle and Interstate 430 south.

According to the Pulaski County sheriff's office, Sanders was disoriented and refused to answer questions. Deputies said he "displayed signs of someone under the influence of PCP."

Sanders was taken to Pulaski County jail and booked on charges of public intoxication, obstruction of government operations and standing in a prohibited place. He was no longer listed on the jail's roster late Sunday.
