U.S. Sen. John Boozman spoke on the recent Iran nuclear deal and highway project funding Thursday afternoon during a meeting of the Arkansas Chamber of Commerce.

"The Iranian thing is really about our children and grandchildren facing nuclear war," he said of continued talks on the nuclear deal in Congress.

He said President Barack Obama's administration is "legitimizing" the use of such weapons in its latest deal.

Thursday's meeting included a discussion of various federal regulations affecting state business practices and coming policy proposals in Congress.

Boozman had two other Arkansas stops planned Thursday in Searcy and Hot Springs, according to a statement.
