If you spotted someone wearing a purple ribbon Aug. 20 at the Metroplex, you knew that person was one of 30 young professionals being honored that evening at Little Rock Taste of the Finest.
All were honored for their success in business, community involvement and support of the Arkansas Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, but there was also a friendly fundraising competition in the weeks before the event. Deanna Jones was the winner and received the Todd Miles Award for her efforts. She raised $10,500.
The evening began with a silent auction and sampling the offerings of some of Little Rock's finest restaurants and ended with a concert by Tragikly White. More than 500 guests attended the fundraiser, which raised $117,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
