Volleyball: Arkansas beats Kansas

Arkansas defeated Kansas 21-25, 27-25, 25-15, 25-15 Saturday night before an announced crowd of 1,284 at Barnhill Arena in Fayetteville.

Chanell Clark-Bibbs and Pilar Victoria led the Razorbacks with 13 kills. Kori Ortiz had 17 digs and Clark-Bibbs had three blocks. Arkansas (2-1) heads to the Cougar Classic in Edwardsville, Ill., on Friday.

UALR falls to Michigan State

UALR lost 22-25, 24-26, 20-25 to Michigan State on Saturday at the Bluegrass Invitational in Lexington, Ky.

Edina Selmovic led the Trojans (0-2) with 10 kills and one ace. Megan Mathis had six kills and 19 assists. Carolee Dillard had six kills and four blocks. Priscilla Almeida had 15 digs, and Kelsey Leach had six digs and one ace.

UALR fell to 0-3 with a 25-23, 24-14, 25-22 loss to Kentucky on Saturday night.

Selmovic had 10 kills and was named to the Bluegrass Invitational All-Tournament team.

Marina Varam had 10 kills and two aces. Mathis had 30 kills. Dillard had six kills and one block, and Milona Milovanovic had five kills and one block. Almeida had 13 digs, and Sydnee Martin and Leach had five and four digs, respectively.

ASU sweeps Saint Louis

Arkansas State swept Saint Louis 25-10, 25-22, 28-26 on Saturday at the Red Hawk Invitational in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Drew Jones led the Red Wolves (3-0) with 13 kills. She also was named tournament MVP after compiling 37 kills in the three matches. Carlisa May and Darby Graff each had 11 kills. Mallory Washington had 38 assists, while Markie Schaedig had 20 digs.

Lyon splits in Oklahoma

Lyon College lost 3-1 to Sterling (Kan.) College, but bounced back with a 3-0 victory over Bacone (Okla.) College at the Oklahoma Wesleyan Invitational in Bartlesville, Okla.

Madisson Williams had 28 digs in both matches for Lyon. Stephanie Jones had 13 kills against Sterling. Katarina Frickleton had 10 blocks in both matches. Brittney Beckham had 14 assists.

Lyon falls to Oklahoma City

Lyon lost 6-0 to Oklahoma City on Saturday at Stars Field in Oklahoma City.

The Scots (1-2) had 13 shots on goal and were outshot 23-13. Allison Worsham and Ailee Thompson had two goals each for the host Stars.

Lyon hosts UAPB 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Williams Baptist blanks Ozarks Christian

Williams Baptist shout out Ozarks Christian 8-0 on Saturday in Walnut Ridge.

Thiago Sooma led Williams Baptist with two goals and one assist. Andei Leal had two goals. Matheus Alonso had one goal and two assists. Jan Striew and Luiz Boulhouth both had one goal. Jacob Sprout had two saves for Williams Baptist.
