BERWICK, La. — St. Mary Parish sheriff's deputies say an Arkansas man reported missing more than a week ago was found dead in the Intracoastal Waterway near Berwick.
The Advocate reports an autopsy is pending for Michael Proctor, of Piggott after bystanders found his body Monday. Detectives do not suspect foul play.
Proctor's age and address were not immediately released, though the Sheriff's Office said he was reported missing from Arkansas on Nov. 20.
An investigation into the death is ongoing.
