Tips sought in fatal hit-and-run in Pine Bluff

The Pine Bluff Police Department is asking for the public's help as detectives try to identify the driver of a truck that fatally struck a pedestrian and then left the scene last month.

The agency said in a news release Tuesday it was still working to develop a suspect in the Nov. 4 hit-and-run crash on 13th Avenue near Cedar Street. Annie Harris, 45, was hit by the vehicle and later died from her injuries at a Little Rock hospital.

The truck is described as a dark-colored, four-door model that may have been a Chevrolet.

Pine Bluff police asked anyone in the area that night who "may have seen something" to contact authorities. The agency also requested that area businesses review surveillance that may have caught the suspect vehicle.

A "substantial reward" is being offered for a tip leading to an arrest, though the release didn't specify how much it was.

Anyone with information is asked to call (870) 730-2090 or (870) 850-2400.
