BATESVILLE — Batesville authorities say they are investigating a shooting that left one woman dead inside the store where she worked.
KAIT-TV reported that the woman was found by a customer inside Tobacco Warehouse around 6:45 p.m. Monday. The woman, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to Batesville Police Chief Alan Cockrill, a man is in custody in connection to the shooting. Cockrill said the suspect knew the woman, but the extent of their relationship is unclear at this time.
