Arkansan Barrett Baber will learn his fate Tuesday as one of nine remaining artists on NBC's The Voice after performing in the semifinals Monday.

This week, The Voice will send five competitors home, leaving four to perform in next week's season finale for the top prize: $100,000 and a recording contract with Universal Music Group.

Voting for the semifinals closed at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Results will air live at 7 p.m. on NBC.

Monday night, Baber performed a rendition of Ella Henderson's "Ghost." As of about 10:25 a.m., the song was the No. 9 track on the iTunes overall music chart.

All four of the Voice judges gave positive reviews of Baber's performance, including his coach, country artist Blake Shelton, who commended the effort he puts into his performances.

"I literally feel like I just watched you, like, here's the door to the finale and like you just kicked it in," he said. "I don't know that I've worked with anyone that gives more to their performances than you do, dude."

Songs from fellow competitors Jordan Smith, Jeffery Austin, Emily Ann Roberts, Madi Davis, Amy Vachal, Braiden Sunshine and Zach Seabaugh placed higher on the iTunes chart as of Tuesday morning.
