Little Rock Marathon officials on Thursday unveiled the race’s 2016 medals.
The design inspiration for the 14th annual Little Rock Marathon medals was a vintage board game theme, organizers said in a statement.
The marathon medal, which features a detachable finisher’s pendant, is 8 ½ inches wide and weighs almost 3 pounds, co-executive director of the race Gina Pharis said in a statement. The half-marathon medal is 4 ½ inches wide and weighs almost a pound.
Race weekend, which includes a half marathon as well as 10K, 5K and kids races, is set for March 4–6 in downtown Little Rock. The full marathon is Sunday, March 6.
Runners can register at littlerockmarathon.com through 11:59 p.m. on Feb. 26. Mail-in registration forms must be postmarked by that day.
