Robbed by son, woman tells police

Little Rock police were investigating after a woman said her son attacked and robbed her Monday.

Officers responded at 10:54 p.m. to 2805 S. Gaines Street. Rita Allen, 50, said her 27-year-old son had been helping her move into a new residence when he demanded money, according to a police report. Allen said that when she refused, he struck her in the head and knocked her unconscious.

Her debit card and $30 were missing when she awoke, according to the report.

Allen was taken to UAMS Medical Center for treatment. Police said her injuries were not consistent with her story.

No charges had been filed.
