3rd suspect jailed in slaying of clerk

The third suspect in the slaying of a store clerk from Arkadelphia was arrested Sunday, Arkansas State Police said.

State police and U.S. marshals arrested Craig Allen Wade, 24, of Pine Bluff at a motel in southwest Little Rock about 2 p.m.

Two other suspects -- James L. Gray Jr., 36, and Laron Edward Williams, 27, both of Pine Bluff -- were arrested Thursday in Pine Bluff. All three men are charged with capital murder and aggravated robbery in the shooting death of Christopher D. Brown of Arkadelphia.

Brown, 24, was shot during a robbery of Jordan's Kwik Stop Shell, 180 Valley St. in Caddo Valley, at 4:43 a.m. Jan. 25.

The three suspects were being held in Clark County jail late Sunday.
