Two face robbery charge after fight over stolen beer, police say

Two men were charged with robbery after they tried to steal beer from a gas station and then fought with a customer who attempted to stop them, authorities said.

Shane Ragsdale, 23, of Hensley, and Michael Woods, 22, of Sheridan, remained in the Pulaski County jail Tuesday morning after being arrested late Monday night.

According to Pulaski County sheriff's office arrest reports, the two attempted about 11 p.m. to steal two 18-packs of Bud Light at an Exxon station at 205 E. Dixon Road. The men "in the process fought a customer trying to prevent the theft," the report added.

Woods is also facing a charge of possession of marijuana after police found some of it in his shirt pocket, according to the report.

Bail for Ragsdale was set at $5,000, and Woods' was $6,000.
