Court records showed Raymond Freitas, 42, of Hackett was indicted in June on four counts of receiving child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography. He pleaded guilty to one count of receiving child pornography on Sept. 29.

According to a plea agreement with the government, special agents from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security identified a computer owned by Freitas that was being used to download child pornography and executed a search warrant at his home.

A news release from the U.S. attorney's office said the case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative begun in 2006 to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse.
