North Little Rock receiver K.J. Hill signed with Ohio State University on Wednesday morning.

Hill had orally committed to Arkansas last August before announcing in January that he was reopening his recruitment and considering other options. He visited Ohio State and Alabama last month.

Before his official signing Wednesday, reports from the Columbus Dispatch newspaper and ESPN U indicated Hill had chosen the Columbus, Ohio, school, and he was retweeting the news on Twitter.

Then at a ceremony with seven other North Little Rock football players in the school's gymnasium, Hill signed his paperwork and put on an Ohio State cap.

He called the Buckeyes a "great fit."

"They showed me a good time and I loved it up there," he said. "I've got a great relationship with the coaches there. And I've been knowing [Buckeye co-defensive coordinator Chris] Ash, he's been trying to get me up there for the longest, so he finally did that and it just changed everything for me."

Hill's decision to consider other schools came after former Arkansas offensive coordinator Jim Chaney left the program to be quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator at Pittsburgh.

He said Wednesday that he didn't expect to opt out of his Arkansas commitment, but added coaches and other things he didn't specify had changed.

"I'm always an Arkansas boy, you know, I love the Razorbacks," Hill said. "I always wanted to be a Hog, just stuff changed."

Hill, who was rated the No. 18 receiver in the country by ESPN, said he had narrowed down his choices to Arkansas, Alabama or Ohio State and that Arkansas had continued to recruit him through Wednesday morning. He said he committed to Ohio State on Sunday.
