Manny Watkins hit a lay-up with 6.4 seconds remaining and Arkansas beat Ole Miss 71-70 Saturday.

Watkins scored off a pass from Ky Madden, who was double-teamed underneath the goal. Jarvis Summers missed a field goal attempt for the Rebels just before time expired.

The No. 24 Razorbacks outscored the Rebels 8-2 over the final 3:20 to snap Ole Miss' seven-game win streak. Arkansas won for the seventh time in eight games.

The Razorbacks (20-5, 9-3 SEC) took sole possession of second place in the SEC with the win. Arkansas and Ole Miss were tied in the conference standings entering the game.

Michael Qualls scored 15 points and had nine rebounds to lead the Razorbacks. Anton Beard added 14 points before fouling out late in the game. Bobby Portis scored 12 points.

Stefan Moody and M.J. Rhett each scored 16 points for the Rebels (17-8, 8-4). Ole Miss out-rebounded the Razorbacks by 14 and attempted 12 more free throws.

Arkansas avenged a 96-82 loss to Ole Miss last month. The Razorbacks will host Missouri on Wednesday.
