Deputies responded to the home of Michael Underwood, 9818 Firestone Lane in North Little Rock, about 11 p.m. According to a sheriff's office report, Underwood, 40, had a half-inch long stab wound in the middle of his back. He was taken to UAMS.

Robert Arnett, who is the current boyfriend of Underwood's ex-girlfriend, was arrested in the stabbing.

Underwood told deputies he was standing outside his home with this ex-girlfriend, 32-year-old Carrie Whidden, when Arnett walked up to them and stabbed him in the back. Whidden and Arnett left together in a Blue Hill Wrecker & Towing truck, he said.

While questioning Arnett at his home, 10315 Firestone Lane, deputies were told he and Underwood had been fighting about Whidden days earlier. Arnett said he kicked Underwood on Sunday "to get him back," the report states.

No weapon was found. Deputies were unable to locate Whidden at the time.

Arnett was arrested and booked into Pulaski County jail on a charge of first-degree battery. He was no longer listed on the jail roster late Monday.

Moore exited the car and ran home. Police found the car outside the apartments. Its driver's side door was open and Moore's cellphone was on the seat, the report states.

Police said it appeared nothing had been taken.

Officers searched the area for the suspect, who was described only as a black male. No arrests were made.
