Police say womanhit officers, bit 1

After being escorted out of Shooter's Bar and Grill by security early Saturday morning, a Little Rock woman punched at least two police officers in the face, according to an arrest report.

Officers intended to arrest Mary Martinez, 36, for disorderly conduct, according to the report. Officers then struggled with Martinez, and one of them ended up being bitten, the bite breaking through the officer's skin.

Martinez was arrested at 2 a.m. at 9500 Interstate 30 and charged with second-degree battery, a felony, and four misdemeanors: second-degree assault, disorderly conduct, public intoxication and resisting arrest.

She remained in the Pulaski County jail Saturday afternoon with no bond set.

42 pounds of meth said found in car

Little Rock police arrested a Batesville man Friday afternoon and charged him with trafficking methamphetamine.

Carlos Armando, 32, of 2414 Neeley St. in Batesville, was arrested at Springhill Road and Interstate 40 at 4:40 p.m. Friday, according to an arrest report.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on Armando and discovered 42 pounds of methamphetamine, police reported.

Armando was being held in the Pulaski County jail Saturday night with no bond set. He has holds placed on him from the U.S. Marshals Service and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
