Northwest Arkansas Community College to screen documentary

BENTONVILLE -- Northwest Arkansas Community College will host a showing of a segment of the documentary "People Like Us" followed by a discussion at 6 p.m. Thursday.

The event be in Room 108 of the Becky Paneitz Student Center on the college's main campus at 1 College Drive. It's free and open to the public.

"People Like Us," released in 2001, examines America's social class system and how people judge a person's class by income, family background, education and appearance.

Brenda Zedlitz, executive director of Children's Services for the Economic Opportunity Agency of Washington County, will share her thoughts and lead a discussion following the documentary.
