Tony Furtado, one of the most acclaimed slide guitarists and banjo players on the Americana-bluegrass-jazz music scenes, returns to Arkansas for a show at 7:30 p.m. today at South on Main. Admission is $17.

Furtado won his first of two National Banjo Championships in Winfield, Kan., when he was 19. He went on to sign a label deal with Rounder Records in 1992, recording six albums for Rounder, and collaborated with Alison Krauss, Jerry Douglas, Mike Marshall and Kelly Joe Phelps.
