Marathon event street closings set

A number of streets will be closed because of the Little Rock Marathon events, according to race organizers. Here is a list of times and locations as provided by race organizers for street closures and reopenings starting today:

Today

7 a.m. -- Capitol Avenue at Scott Street to Ferry Street.

10 a.m. -- Capitol Avenue, from Scott to Cumberland streets, will remain closed through Sunday. (Public services will be allowed access today.)

Saturday

5 a.m. -- Scott Street at Capitol Avenue with barrels for start of 5K and Kids races.

5 a.m. -- Capitol Avenue at Cumberland Street to River Market Avenue, Fourth and Sixth streets, will have barrel closings.

5 a.m. -- Cumberland Street/President Clinton Avenue to include Rock Street/Ottenheimer Plaza, River Market Avenue and Sherman Street to Kumpuris Street.

6 a.m. -- Cumberland Street northbound/westbound between Capitol Avenue and Fourth Street.

7 a.m. -- Interstate 30, Second Street ramp no northbound access on Frontage Street, no eastbound access toward Mahlon Martin Street.

7 a.m. -- Third Street from Kumpuris Street to River Market Avenue.

7:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. -- Third Street from River Market Avenue to Center Street.

7:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m. -- Fourth Street from Center to Victory streets.

7:30 a.m.- 9:30 a.m. -- Woodlane Street from Capitol Avenue to Fourth Street.

7:30 a.m-9:30 a.m. -- Fourth Street from Sherman to Woodlane streets.

Saturday reopening

Noon -- Scott Street at Capitol Avenue.

Noon -- Capitol Avenue from Cumberland Street to River Market Avenue.

Noon -- Cumberland Street southbound between Capitol Avenue and Fourth Street.

Noon -- Cumberland Street northbound outside lane only; curb lane remains closed.

Noon -- Third Street, Kumpuris Street, President Clinton Avenue to Ferry Street opening access to Clinton presidential library parking.

Noon -- Interstate 30, Second Street ramp access to Frontage Street; no eastbound access toward Mahlon Martin Street.

12:30 p.m. -- Cumberland Street at President Clinton Avenue to River Market Avenue.

12:30 p.m. -- River Market Avenue to Second Street.

Sunday

4 a.m. -- Scott Street at Capitol Avenue with barrels for start of marathon.

4 a.m. -- Capitol Avenue at Cumberland Street to Ferry Street for start of marathon.

5 a.m. -- President Clinton Avenue to include Rock Street, River Market Avenue, Sherman Street, Ferry Street at Second Street, Rock and Second streets.

6 a.m. Cantrell Road, inside lane to Lookout Road. (Right lane closure.)

6 a.m. -- One lane: Cantrell Road eastbound from loading dock of Statehouse Convention Center to Cumberland Street.

6 a.m. -- Eastbound and westbound offramps from I-630 to Chester Street.

7 a.m. -- Interstate 30, Second Street ramp no northbound access on Frontage Road, no eastbound access toward Mahlon Martin Street.

8 a.m. -- Westbound offramp from I-630 to Broadway.

8 a.m. -- Markham Street at Martin Luther King Jr. Drive to Boone Street.

8:30 a.m. -- Markham Street from Boone Street to Kavanaugh Boulevard: Eastbound lanes are switched into two-way traffic.

8 a.m. -- Right lane closure westbound Cantrell Road at entrance to Cajun's Wharf restaurant.

8 a.m. -- Riverfront Drive from Rebsamen Park Road north side (river side) to railroad tracks switched into two-way traffic.

8 a.m. -- Rebsamen Park Road at Sherill Lane closing access to roundabout.

8 a.m. -- Riverfront Drive just before the roundabout.

Sunday reopening

Roads open up as participants go through the course. The entire course should be open for traffic about 3 p.m.
