Tulsa police investigate shooting, crash at laundromat

TULSA — Tulsa police are investigating the injury of a man whose van was shot before it crashed into a laundromat.

Police Cpl. Kevin Warne tells KOTV-TV that officers have received conflicting stories about what happened early Friday morning.

Police said the driver was taken to an area hospital with unspecified head injuries that are not life-threatening. They said two children in the van weren't injured.

Officers recovered two shell casings in the laundromat parking lot and discovered a bullet hole in the van. Police said the crash caused significant damage to the building.

The driver told police he crashed the vehicle while escaping attackers. His identity hasn't been released.
