Sought in ATV theft, LR man is arrested

Police said they arrested a man Thursday after reporting that five stolen all-terrain vehicles worth more than $50,000 were found at his Little Rock home.

Nicholas Eagle, 32, was charged with theft of property and five counts of theft by receiving, according to a police report. Police had been seeking Eagle since Feb. 5, when they searched his last known residence at 1709 S. Pulaski St.

In addition to the all-terrain vehicles, officers reported finding stolen cellphones, trailers and hunting equipment at the residence, according to the report. Some of the stolen items were returned to the owners, while others were stored, the report said.

Eagle, who has felony convictions for theft, aggravated assault and firearms possession, was not listed on the Pulaski County jail roster late Friday.

Gunman demanded dog, woman reports

A Little Rock man was arrested early Friday, accused of firing shots at his ex-girlfriend's mother while demanding she surrender a dog, police said.

Isaac Kanamwangi, 27, of 1701 Westpark Drive No. 39, was arrested about 3:20 a.m. Friday and charged with aggravated assault, according to a police report.

Police said Censi Childs, 46, was standing outside her residence in the 1500 block of Parham Pointe Drive about 2:25 a.m. Friday when a man drove up and demanded she give him a dog.

Childs told police the man pointed a gun at her and then fired three shots, while she ran inside without her dogs, police reported.

When Childs went back outside to get her dogs, she was fired at twice more, police said. The gunman then left.

Officers arrived at Childs' residence and found three .25-caliber shell casings in the road, police reported.

About 30 minutes later, officers observed Kanamwangi slowly driving by Childs' residence, police reported, and he was arrested in the 1500 block of Leander Drive in a traffic stop. A black, .25-caliber Titan handgun was found underneath the passenger seat of Kanamwangi's vehicle, police said.

Kanamwangi was being held in the Pulaski County jail Friday night in lieu of $5,000 bond.

Masked bandit robs Skyroad Gas store

Police are searching for a man who robbed a Little Rock gas station Wednesday evening.

Officers responded to Skyroad Gas at 5105 W. 65th St. at 7:34 p.m. Wednesday where the clerk, Khushwinder Singh, 28, told officers that a man dressed in all black and wearing a black mask entered the store, police reported.

The man went around the counter, displayed a black pistol and demanded money from the register, police said. Singh handed the robber money, and the gunman fled the store, heading west toward Lancaster Road.

A witness told officers she saw the man prop open the gas station's door with a bag, which police recovered along with security footage of the robbery.

The robber was described as black, 5 feet tall, weighing 150 pounds, and between 18 and 25 years old.
