Home ransacked by group seeking marijuana, police say

Three people forced their way into a Little Rock home, ransacking it, pistol-whipping two people inside, opening fire and then stealing marijuana and cash, according to a Little Rock Police Department report.

It happened about 11:40 p.m. Thursday at a home on Glendale Drive, which is north of 65th Street and east of Hindman Park.

Six people, including two minors, were in the home when the men pushed the door open and ransacked the premises "looking for marijuana," the report said.

Two 22-year-old men inside, including one who lives in the home, were pistol-whipped by the intruders, who were armed with a handgun and a AK-47 rifle, police said. The victims' injuries were described as minor.

The intruder with the rifle at one point shot two rounds in a kitchen wall before the group fled with cash and marijuana, the report said.

The assailants are described as two black men and a black woman.

The woman stood about 5-foot-3, weighed 120 pounds and wore a red hat, a black coat, a red shirt and pants with a flower design, police said. One of the men was said to be 5-foot-7 and weighing 165 pounds while wearing a red coat, a red shirt and red pants. The other man stood 5-foot-6, weighed 150 pounds and wore a mask and all black.

No arrests have been made.
