Rain exiting to state’s east; fog seen

A weakening upper-level storm system that brought rain to Arkansas over the weekend was moving out of the state Monday, forecasters said.

Low clouds and patches of dense fog were also seen Monday morning before a weak cold front is due to pass through, gradually thinning the clouds and fog but keeping temperatures below normal, the National Weather Service said.

Forecasters also said Tuesday will be dry and cool, and Wednesday holds a slight chance for spotty precipitation. Thursday and into the weekend will bring dry weather and a warming trend, the weather service also predicted.
