Besides riding a tricycle at a Washington Wizards' game, NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon made the rounds at some media outlets while in the nation's capital to promote the upcoming season-opening Daytona 500.

Among those stops was at Fox affiliate WTTG-TV. Gordon took part in a segment with sportscaster Scott Smith called "Rapid Fire," where the four-time Sprint Cup champion was asked a series of quick questions followed by equally quick responses.

Among some of Smith's questions and Gordon's answers:

What is Gordon's favorite prerace meal? "Salmon and rice before every race, usually brown rice."

Gordon's favorite racetrack? "Bristol. There's just something about Bristol that's awesome."

The driver most likely to get invited to dinner at the Gordon household: "Probably Jimmie Johnson, because he's my neighbor. He lives around the corner from me."

Then came the best question of the interview, and Gordon's response was no surprise.

The person least likely to be invited to a Gordon family dinner: "Definitely Brad Keselowski. That was easy."

Gordon, Keselowski and their crew members brawled after a race in Fort Worth in November.

Cost of living

She lived the Gucci lifestyle before the divorce, and now Byron Scott's wife is demanding the Gucci lifestyle after the split, too, telling a judge the Los Angeles Lakers coach needs to pay up so she can continue to live rather well.

TMZ Sports broke the story about Byron Scott filing for divorce from his college sweetheart Anita Scott last year after 29 years of marriage, right before he signed a $17 million contract with the Lakers.

Anita said they were living large way before the Lakers gig, and in new court documents obtained by TMZ Sports she spells out why Scott needs to open up his checkbook.

Here's a sample of the life Anita said she was accustomed to during her marriage to Byron:

m Nice mansions: Anita said the couple lived in several over the years, for instance an eight-bedroom estate in New Jersey, a seven-bedroom house in New Orleans and a swanky four-bedroom penthouse in Cleveland.

Shopping sprees:Anita said she "regularly" bought clothes from Chanel, Gucci, Prada and Louis Vuitton with no specific dollar limit.

m Personal upkeep:Anita said she dropped at least $600 every six weeks on her hair and $500 per month on manicures, pedicures and massages. Plus another $400 per month on facials and "other personal maintenance."

Anita said she needs spousal support as soon as possible, since she doesn't have a job and is living in a cramped three-bedroom, 2 1/2-bathroom condo in Culver City that is "not comparable to the lavish and spacious homes we purchased during the marriage."

Mashing the gas

A high school girls basketball coach in California has been suspended for a rare reason: Winning by too large a margin.

Arroyo Valley's Michael Anderson kept his foot on the gas pedal even as his team went up by 60 early in the game against a winless opponent. The end result was a brutal 161-2 beatdown.

The coach was called by the school's athletic director and later told The Riverside Press-Enterprise that he had been suspended two games for the victory.

Arroyo Valley applied a high-pressure full-court trap throughout the first half and led 104-1 at halftime.
