CONWAY — Football coaches who won state championships last year in Arkansas' smallest divisions will lead this year's all-star teams when they meet June 26 in Conway.
The Arkansas High School Coaches Association announced Tuesday that David Carpenter of Class AA Junction City will coach the East. Greg Kendrick of Class AAA Charleston will coach the West.
In volleyball, Craig Cummings of Jonesboro will coach the East all-stars and Karen Smith of Lake Hamilton will coach the West on June 24.
Judy Morton of Hot Springs Lakeside will be the West all-star cheerleader coach. A head coach for the East will be named later.
Dana Gibson of Nettleton will coach the East dance team. Melissa White of Benton will coach the West.
Rosters, plus coaches for spring sports, will be announced later.
