Windstream names Halpin, Moody to senior leadership roles

Little Rock-based Windstream on Tuesday announced two senior leadership appointments.

Kevin Halpin, a more than 20-year veteran of the communications industry with previous experience at Allied Wireless Communications Corp. and Alltel Wireless, was named senior vice president of process development and improvement, the telecom firm said in a statement. In that role, Halpin will "work with business unit leaders across the company to enhance the customer experience," the company said.

Meanwhile, Kristi Moody, who joined the company in 2006 as senior litigation counsel, was named senior vice president of law and corporate secretary for the board of directors, Windstream said. She was named vice president of law in 2012 and deputy general counsel in 2013.

In her expanded role, Moody "will provide counsel for various key company functions, including corporate governance, securities law compliance, investor relations, capital markets, treasury, external communications and corporate development," the company said.

Halpin, a certified public accountant, holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois. Moody, who practiced 11 years at Little Rock firm Wright, Lindsey & Jennings LLP, holds a law degree from the William H. Bowen School of Law at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and a bachelor's degree from Louisiana Tech University.
