Senior citizens hall of fame seeks nominations

A division of the Arkansas Department of Human Services seeks nominees for induction into the Senior Arkansans Hall of Fame.

The Division of Aging and Adult Services has for 22 years recognized “outstanding senior Arkansans who have served their communities and enhanced the lives of fellow Arkansas seniors,” according to a statement. So far, 67 have been honored.

To be considered for the hall of fame, nominees must be Arkansas residents who are at least 60 years old and who have enriched the quality of life for Arkansans, particularly the elderly.

Nomination forms may be obtained through local Area Agency on Aging offices or by visiting the agency’s website. Forms must be submitted by April 1, and the induction will be held at 1 p.m. May 7 in the state Capitol Rotunda in Little Rock.
