As is typically the case on warm weather days, the three sprint races were won by three front-runners, two at good prices, and two of the three runner-up finishers raced within one length at the first call.
The first four route winners raced inside of two lengths of the lead, and three of the four second-place finishers either set the pace or were within a length of the lead at the first call.
The fifth route race (race 7) produced high-priced late-running one-two finishers and the eighth race as well, but if front-running Mr Z hadn’t veered out sharply at the top of the stretch, we would have had a different outcome.
