Man sought in Pine Bluff shooting

Pine Bluff police are searching for a man who purportedly shot a Little Rock man last Saturday.

Police say Pine Bluff resident Tony Scott II, 34, shot Ricky Freeman Sr., 45 of Little Rock, multiple times about 1:30 a.m., Pine Bluff Police Department spokesman Richard Wegner said.

Officers found Freeman lying in a ditch next to his vehicle, and found evidence that Scott shot Freeman while he was still in the vehicle, according to a police report.

Demetria Scott told police at the scene that Freeman, her ex-boyfriend, tried to hit her with his vehicle when she tried to jump across the ditch earlier that morning, the report states.

The woman said she went inside after being hit by Freeman and didn't hear any gun shots, according to the report.

Tony Scott is described as a 6-foot-2 black man weighing 155 pounds. His last known address is in the 3200 block of Tennessee Street in Pine Bluff.

Anyone with information about Tony Scott should call (870) 730-2090 or (870) 541-5300.
