Shots fired at Little Rock home; police investigate

Authorities are investigating after several shots were fired into a Little Rock home Thursday evening.

Police responded at 11:39 p.m. to 2706 Longcoy St., where George Moore told police shots were fired, according to a Little Rock police report. Moore and his wife, Marcela Moore, along with their grandson, Marcus Moore, were home at the time.

Police saw about seven bullet holes in the home and in vehicles nearby, according to the report.

Neighbor Tiffany Davis told police she heard shots, went outside and saw a 2005-2008 pewter sport utility vehicle, which George Moore also saw, drive slowly on Longcoy Street to 28th Street, then drive east and leave the area, the report states.

Marcela Moore told police she thought the shooting might be connected to the April 21 shooting death of their grandson, Bernard Sherrod, at the Park Heights apartments at 1701 N. Bryant St., which she believed to be gang-related.

No injuries were reported. No arrests were made, and an investigation is ongoing.
